Back to the budget tonight for C-K Council.
Budget deliberations will be in council chambers at the Civic Centre at 6pm. Talks could continue Wednesday and Thursday.
All budget meetings will be live-streamed on the Municipality’s Facebook page.
After last weeks initial discussions, the budget is currently at a 5.58% increase.

The Chatham-Kent IBL team has called a time out.
On Friday the team announced the team name; the C-K Blackbirds. The team has dropped the name, effective immediately.
“This decision was made following important community feedback surrounding the historical derogatory use of the term “blackbird” and “blackbirding” that may be harmful to some members of our community.
A new team name is expected to be announced soon.
It’s been a long time since Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) whizzed by earth. 50,000 years to be exact.
Discovered less than a year ago, the harmless green comet already is visible in the northern night sky with binoculars and small telescopes, and possibly the naked eye in the darkest corners of the Northern Hemisphere.
The best view will be just before sunrise tomorrow morning.

David Rush of Idaho has got another Guinness World Record to his name.
Dave has set nearly 250 Guinness World Records and does so to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education. He now holds the record for the most alternating fist bumps in 30 seconds.
Him and his neighbour managed 273 alternating fist bumps in 30 seconds, nearly 100 more than the previous record of 174.
