July 11th is the 192nd day of the year. There are 173 days remaining until the end of the year.

The Chatham-Kent Public Library hosts Movies @ Your Library every Tuesday at the Chatham branch.

Book your spot today to see Made in Italy starring Liam Neeson. Movies start at 2pm.

Good chance for wannabe astrologers this week, as there will be opportunities to see multiple planets cruising through the night sky this month.

Tonight Jupiter will be visible in the sky beneath the crescent moon in the eastern sky just before sunrise.

The new moon — the time of month in which the moon appears to have disappeared from the sky completely — will occur on July 18. But just two days later, as the moon appears again as a sliver in the sky, it’ll be joined by Mars and Venus.

Mars and Venus will be visible all month but July 20th is the day they will be closest to the moon.

The MLB All Star game is tonight in Seattle.

You can watch on CBS or Sportsnet beginning at 7:30.

It’s Amazon Prime Days today and tomorrow.

Amazon Prime Day is like Black Friday, but for Amazon Prime customers. Over 100 million items are expected to be purchased during the big sale.

An annual poll found the top three things we’re looking to buy are clothes and other apparel, electronics and household essentials, like toilet paper.

The first ever Prime Day sale was in 2015, bringing in just under $1 billion, last year just over $12 billion was made.

Remember to keep an eye out for scams or look-alikes! Prime Days run until tomorrow at midnight.

Today is 7-Eleven Day…get it, the 11th day of the 7th month.

7-Eleven Canada will be doing their annual 7-Eleven Day promo, which means you can go and get yourself a Slurpee for free, you can get yours before midnight!

It’s the 54th birthday of the Slurpee. In 2021, Winnipeg was named the Slurpee Capital of the World. In fact, Winnipeggers drink the most Slurpees each year of any city—not just in Canada, but in the entire world. And not just this year either; Winnipeg has been crowned the Slurpee capital of the world by 7-Eleven for 22 years in a row.

Random Fact: 7-Eleven got its name from its original hours in 1946. It was open from 7am to 11pm. They didn’t start staying open 24 hours until the 1960’s.
