The Third St. bridge was supposed to be closed today, it will remain open and close tomorrow.
The closure is required to replace asphalt on either side of the bridge. Detours will be posted to direct traffic to the Lacroix Street Bridge and Fifth Street Bridge.
The bridge will be closed Tuesday at 7:00am to Friday August 4th at 7:00pm.
These repairs are being done at no cost to the municipality.
After last weeks heat wave, looks like this week settles into the high 20’s with sunshine.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 25 today with sun and clouds, slim chance of seeing a thunderstorm.
Plenty of sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday with a high of 28.

It looks like July is going to be the hottest month ever
Climate scientists and experts from around the world say that the average temperature is at least 0.2C warmer than the previous record-breaking month of July 2019. This July is likely to break the 2019 record by 0.2C, a 174-year-old record.
On July 4, the world average temperature was 17.18C, making it the hottest day in at least 44 years.
The experts believe that the Earth hasn’t been this hot in approximately 120,000 years.
The Mega Millions jackpot just keeps growing.
There were no winning tickets on Friday nights draw, so the jackpot jumps up to $1.05-billion U.S. for Tuesday nights draw.
It’s now the eighth-largest ever jackpot in the U.S.
Crucial match this morning for the Canadian Women’s Soccer team at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
