Couple of movies today at the Chatham Capitol Theatre.

The Summer Family Movie this afternoon is Minions: The Rise of Gru.

Come back tonight at 7pm stop by to see A Thousand and One.

For both movies, admission is $5 at the door or flash your movie pass for entry.

The Blenheim Rotary Club hosts Summer Concerts in the Park.

Every Thursday from 7-8:30 bring a lawn chair and enjoy some music at Talbot Trail Place.

This week it’s Big Bang on the stage.


The Dresden Rotary Club Summer Concert Series continues tonight.

Come out for some free music at Dresden Rotary Park all summer, and it’s free!

Tonight Jackie Wills take the stage at 7. Sidestreets will host a BBQ beginning at 7.


The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen The Lost King Monday at theCapitol Theatre.

Showings at 4 and 7pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The C-K Film Group screens independant films the first Monday of the month.

The next film screening will be held on Monday, September 4th.


The world’s oldest man has died at the age of 127. Jose Gomez passed away this week at his home in Brazil.

He was born in 1895 and is survived by seven children, 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Jose worked as an animal tamer and liked to ride donkeys.

Jose credited his long life to being humble and having a little drink before dinner.
