The Chatham Maroons will return home Sunday night.
After being forced to open the season playing home games at Thames Campus, the team will be back at Chatham Memorial Arena on Sunday.
The Maroons will host the St. Thomas Stars, puck drop at 7pm.
The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Sabres will play an NHL preseason game in St. Thomas tonight.
This is part of the Kraft Hockeyville win for nearby West Lorne. In addition to the preseason game, the community won $250,000 for upgrades to its 55-year-old area and $10,000 in youth hockey equipment.
The Stanley Cup will be in West Lorne this morning, before going to St. Thomas for the game tonight.
Tickets for the exhibition game were awarded to players in the Western Minor Hockey Association, the West Elgin Skating Club, and local residents lucky enough to win a community draw.

The Gold Ball jackpot stands at $68 million, the largest jackpot in 6/49 history. The classic jackpot remains at its fixed $5 million.
Since the gold ball wasn’t drawn on Saturday, there will be a guaranteed winner of an all-time high jackpot tonight.
Under the current format, the lottery features 30 balls – 29 white balls, each representing the guaranteed $1 million prize, and one Gold Ball representing the growing jackpot. If a white ball is drawn, the guaranteed $1 million prize is won and that ball is removed leaving 28 white balls and one Gold Ball for the next draw. Graphic designer Burkey Belser passed away this week at 76. You might not know his name, but you still see his work every day. He designed the “Nutrition Facts” label for food.
He died Monday at his home in Bethesda, Maryland. His wife revealed it was bladder cancer.
His nutrition label debuted in 1994 and we’re still using it almost 30 years later.
Before the early ’90s, food companies didn’t have to list calories, or things like serving size and saturated fat. When it came to knowing what you were eating, it was a free-for-all.
His design was praised for being simple, straightforward, and easy to understand.
He also designed the bright yellow “EnergyGuide” label you still see on every appliance, from washing machines to TVs.
