September 29th is the 272nd day of the year. There are 93 days remaining until the end of the year.


Tomorrow is Canada’s third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

On Saturday wear an orange shirt to honour Indigenous children and Survivors who were taken from their communities and families and forced to attend Indian Residential Schools.

CKSY will participate in “A Day To Listen”. Nearly 500 Canadian radio stations will come together for a third year to elevate Indigenous voices with the 12-hour broadcast (airing from 6 a.m.–6 p.m.), produced by the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF).

This year’s theme is Mino Bimaadiziwin: Honouring Indigenous Identity. Mino Bimaadiziwin means “the good life” in Anishinabemowin.


Today’s the day, Sephora will celebrate their Grand Opening in Chatham at the Thames Lea Plaza.

Announced back in May has part of a revitalization of the plaza with The Brick moving in and Ardene relocating from the Downtown Chatham Centre.

Sephora is a retailer of personal care and beauty products, carrying all the top brand names.

To celebrate the grand opening, beauty insiders will receive a complimentary Sephora Limited Edition Tote Bag with any $100 in-store purchase, while supplies last. The store will open at 9:30 this morning.


It’s the last weekend of the MLB season.

The Toronto Blue Jays are on the verge of clinching a playoff position. Toronto will play a series against the Tampa Bay Rays in Toronto beginning tonight.

A big weekend in Detroit. The Tigers will say goodbye to one of the all time greats; Miguel Cabrera will play his final games.

The weekend is full of celebrations for Miggy, the Tigers will play the Cleveland Guardians. Cabrera’s final curtain call will be on Sunday and there are still a few tickets available.


The largest Lotto 6/49 jackpot in history was won on Wednesday. And it wasn’t me.

The Gold Ball jackpot hit it’s peak at $68 million, and was won by a ticket holder in Toronto. There were four winning encore tickets worth $100,000 each sold in Sarnia, Windsor, Toronto and on OLG.ca.

The next LOTTO 6/49 draw is Saturday, with the Gold Ball Draw at a $10 million jackpot and the Classic Draw offering a $5 million jackpot. Players have until 10:30 p.m. to purchase their tickets at OLG.ca or in store.


Disney+ will be cracking down on password sharing in Canada starting November 1st.

In an email to subscribers, Disney + says it plans to launch a subscription with an ad-supported plan and update its subscriber agreement implementing restrictions on your ability to share your account or login credentials outside of your household.

Current streaming costs are $11.99 a month, or $119.99 a year – the updated prices have not been released yet. If you’re a subscriber you will have the choice between tier subscriptions of basic or premium (with no ads) You can choose before November 1st.

Netflix announced earlier this year a similar crackdown on password sharing.
