RM Classic Cars will host its final Cars & Coffee this Saturday.

Cruise on in to RM (One Classic Car Drive, Blenheim, Ontario) for a morning of all things automotive from 8–11am.

Cars & Coffee is rain or shine, with coffee & donuts for the first 250 guests.

The event is a chance for enthusiasts to get to know the RM Auto Restoration team and get a glimpse inside the shop that helped dub Chatham-Kent ‘Canada’s Classic Car Capital’.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent and Waste Connections of Canada Ridge Landfill are hosting another household hazardous waste day.

The drop off is at one central location, Veolia Environmental, at 141 Prosperity Way near Chatham.

Tomorrow’s drop off will be from 8-1pm.

There are two household hazardous waste days left for 2023:

  • Tuesday, October 10, 8am-1pm
  • Tuesday, November 14, 8am-1pm

Residents can safely dispose of household hazardous material at no charge. A list of acceptable material can found here.


If you’re up for a quick road trip, couple things going on in London this weekend…
London Airshow presents SkyDrive at the London International Airport.

Air displays begin today and continue Saturday and Sunday with the Canadian SnowBirds and more. There wil be 20+ aircraft parked on the tarmac with the chance to walk inside some of the bigger aircraft.

Tickets begin at $71 and are valid for 1 vehicle, up to 6 people.


The annual Western Fair opens today.

Southwestern Ontario’s biggest fair will open the gates at 3p.m.

The fair, canceled by the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, returned in 2022 will be held across the street from its traditional location.

Free entrance for kids 10 and under and 65 plus, $15 for adults. The fair runs until September 17th. Go here for schedules and info.


Detroit Tigers legend Miguel Cabrera will be retiring at the end of the season. The Tigers have a Celebration Weekend scheduled for September 29-October 1 at Comerica Park to commemorate Miggy’s career.

Detroit has set up a Miggy-line. 313-471-2424. Text ot call it to leave a farewell message for Miguel Cabrera.
