Canada Post has released their holiday shipping deadlines for 2023 for local, regional, national and international deliveries.

If you want to send packages within Canada for the holidays, Canada Post’s shipping deadlines depend on whether items are going to a local zone, regional zone or national zone and how you’re shipping them.

For local deliveries, here are the deadlines:

  • Regular Parcel — December 19
  • Expedited Parcel or flat rate box — December 20
  • Xpresspost — December 21
  • Priority — December 21

The deadlines for regional deliveries are:

  • Regular Parcel — December 14 to December 19
  • Expedited Parcel or flat rate box — December 18 to December 20
  • Xpresspost — December 21
  • Priority — December 21

If you’re sending a package nationally, these are Canada Post’s holiday deadlines:

  • Regular Parcel — December 8 to December 18
  • Expedited Parcel or flat rate box — December 12 to December 19
  • Xpresspost — December 20
  • Priority — December 20

If you’re sending packages to anywhere in the U.S.:

  • Tracked Packet/Small Packet — December 12

When it comes to cards, the holiday deadlines are much simpler; The deadline is December 19 if you’re sending cards locally, December 18 for regional deliveries, and December 15 if you’re sending cards across the country.

Some Iowa Lottery losers, ended up winners last week.

The lottery mistakenly posted incorrect winning numbers for Monday’s Powerball game online. During the roughly seven hours it took to correct the mistake, players with matching numbers were able to come forward and cash in on the incorrect numbers for prizes ranging from $4 to $200.

The Iowa Lottery chalked the fumble up to human error and did not specify how many people with the incorrect numbers cashed in.
