Canadian soccer legend Christine Sinclair suited up one last time for Canada’s Women’s National Team at BC Place Stadium last night against Australia
For the first time ever, BC Place was renamed to ‘Christine Sinclair Place’ to celebrate her legacy.
Sinclair, who is now 40-years-old, played 331 games for Canada and is the highest-scoring player in international soccer history, with 190 goals. She has led the women’s soccer team to a gold and two bronzes at the Olympics.
Canada beat Australia in the game 1-0. Canada Soccer said the attendance was the largest-ever for a women’s national team friendly in Canada.
