The sunshine is sticking around, but the temperatures have cooled off.

Sun and cloud for the beginning of the work week, with a high of 4C according to Environment Canada.

There’s a slight chance of some flurries on Thursday.


There’s a blood donor clinic tomorrow at the St. Clair College Healthplex from 1-7p.m.

The Chiefs are Super Bowl champs. Again.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime. The game was tied 19-19 at the end of regulation. Both teams were given the chance to possess the ball in overtime. Patrick Mahomes threw to Mecole Hardman for the game winning TD.

Mahomes was named the Super Bowl MVP; again. It’s his third time winning the award.

This is the Chiefs’ second straight Super Bowl, and third win in five years.


Team Canada’s women’s National basketball team had to hold their breath, but they’ve booked a spot to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Team Canada had a couple of chances to win their way into the Olympics with wins at the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament, but couldn’t get a W against Spain or Japan over the weekend.

Canada needed a Spain win over Hungary and they got it to qualify.

The Canadians women will make their fourth consecutive Olympic appearance

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton finished 4th in the tournament with 14 points per game.


The nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame‘s Class of 2024 have been announced.

Ten of the nominees are first-timers: Mariah, Cher, Foreigner, Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Lenny, Oasis, Sinead, Sade, and, technically, Ozzy, since this is his first nomination as a solo artist.

Ozzy Osbourne has a chance to be a double-honoree. He’s nominated as a solo artist this year, but he’s already in there as a member of Black Sabbath.

The Class of 2024 will be announced in April, and the ceremony will happen sometime in the fall.
