Statistics Canada says there are now more millennials than baby boomers in Canada.

StatsCan says the share of millennials and generation Z is increasing. Statistics Canada estimates generation Z could overtake millennials in numbers sometime between 2038 and 2053.

IKEA is coming back to London. Kind of, you’re not going to see the delicious meatballs in this store.

The IKEA ‘plan and order point’ store that previously was at Masonville Mall is on the move to a new location, in the south end of the city.

IKEA plan and order point stores allow customers to get support from IKEA experts to plan, order and purchase home furnishings for the kitchen, bedroom, bath and living room. Products are not available for immediate takeaway at these stores however. Once the order is placed, customers can have it delivered directly to their homes or to a local IKEA pick-up point. The new location will be on Wonderland Rd. South and will open its doors to customers on March 6.

About 3 years ago, there were plans to build a full IKEA near the new south end Costco in London, those plans have been scrapped.

Lyle’s Golden Syrup has the world’s oldest unchanged logo. Well it did. They are updating it to appeal to modern shoppers.

The sugar syrup is a baking ingredient in the United Kingdom. It was first produced in 1881. From the beginning, the tin containers have been branded with a dead lion surrounded by bees. The image comes from the Old Testament story of Samson and the lion. In the Bible, Samson kills a lion and when he sees the carcass later, it is full of bees who have made honey in the carcass. The tin received the Guinness World Record for oldest, unchanged brand packaging back in 2007.

The new logo features a golden lion’s head. The updated packaging will roll out throughout the year.
