The Chatham-Kent Film Group will screen Origin Monday, March 4th at Chatham Galaxy Cinemas.

Showings at 4 and 7pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The C-K Film Group screens independent films the first Monday of the month.


Former Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney has died at the age of 84.

He served as the 18th prime minister of Canada from 1984 to 1993.


The Chatham Maroons wrap up their regular season on Sunday at home against the Lasalle Vipers.

This will be a preview of the first round of the GOJHL playoffs, as the Maroons and Vipers will begin a best of 7 series next week. Sunday’s game is at Memorial Arena at 7p.m.

In the Western Ontario Super League, the Tilbury Bluebirds begin their playoffs on Saturday against the Woodstock Lakers in a best of 5 series. The Bluebirds finished third in the regular season.

The local PJHL playoffs are underway and all local teams will be on the ice this weekend.


Jameson Whiskey is promoting a new holiday called St. Patrick’s Eve.

Thanks to the leap day, St. Patrick’s won’t be on a Saturday. The last time that happened was 2018, and it won’t happen again until 2029.

They want everyone to celebrate St Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 16th. Saturday Night Live stars Colin Jost and Michael Che are fronting their campaign.

Jameson Irish Whiskey has created a very made-up new holiday: Jameson St. Patrick’s Eve on Saturday, March 16. Until then, Jameson is offering limited-edition St. Patrick’s Eve jackets to smooth cocktails and a chance to join a St. Patrick’s Eve countdown live in Times Square.
