Environment Canada is calling for sunny skies and a high of 17 today. More sun tomorrow, before some rain expected on Wednesday.

27-year-old golfer Scottie Scheffler won the 2024 Masters.

He finishied the tournament at -11 to win his second Masters. The first was in 2022.

Scheffler is #1 in the Official World Golf Rankings, and is about to become a father for the first time. His wife was unable to attend the tournament and Scheffler told reporters that he’d leave play if his wife were to go into labour.

He won $3.6 million and the coveted Green Jacket.


When you tune in to the Tigers or Blue Jays tonight, you might have a tough time identifying your favourite player.

They’ll all be wearing the same number; 42.

That’s in honour of Jackie Robinson. 77 years ago today, in 1947, Jackie Robinson became the first African-American to play in a regular season Major League baseball game.

Fifty years later, in 1997, the Number 42 was permanently retired throughout all of Major League Baseball. That was Jackie’s number when he was with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

The last guy to wear it was Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera. He retired in 2013, the same year Chadwick Boseman played Jackie in 42.
