Another rainy day in C-K.

Environment Canada is calling for the same conditions at Tuesday, with rain and a high of 7C. Thursday and Friday, temperatures will dip with a chance of flurries. April’s first weekend will see double-digit highs and some sunshine.

Parts of Ontario will see much more treacherous conditions today. Kitchener-Waterloo has issued a Special Weather Statement calling for strong winds and rain, with possible snow accumulation later this afternoon. Eastern Ontario could get it even worst, Ottawa has a possibility of 20cm or more of snow today!


The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will hold a job fair next week at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre.

The fair will focus on CKHA’s support services departments such as housekeeping, medical device reprocessing, registration, patient appointment office and nutrition services.

Representatives will be available to offer more information on the hospital’s programs and services and the application process. Job seekers are not required to register to attend the job fair.

The CKHA Job Fair is on Thursday, April 11 from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Tilbury Bluebirds Western Ontario Super Hockey League season is over.

Tilbury fell to the Tillsonburg Thunder 5-4 at home to lose the series in Game 6.


The solar eclipse is less than a week away.

The solar eclipse is expected to start at 2:04 p.m. and last for about two and a half hours. The sun will be fully eclipsed at approximately 3:20 to 3:23 p.m.

Niagara Falls, Ontario will be the best location in Canada to view the event on April 8th. They are expecting as many as one million people to visit the region. The city is also throwing a concert and other special events. But to go, it’ll cost you; The limited rooms still available are now priced around $1,000 per night, with some as high as $3,000.

So many visitors are expected that the Niagara Region has already declared a state of emergency.

Detroit will host the NFL Draft April 25-27th.

It’s the second largest event in the NFL calendar, more than 60 million viewers are expected to tune in worldwide.

Transit Windsor will extend its hours to shuttle football fans to and from the celebrations across the river. Now if you’re not able to get to downtown Detroit for the festivities, Downtown Windsor will be buzzing as well.

All 1,800 hotel rooms in the downtown core will be fully booked. the City of Windsor is hosting “Windsor’s NFL Draft Party” on Saturday, April 27th. It’s a free event on the front lawn of City Hall from noon to 6:00 p.m. The celebration will include NFL-themed interactive games, an NFL Draft viewing area, a free football skills and coaching clinic for local youth, music, complimentary snacks, and appearances from some of Windsor’s very own NFL alumni players.
