We just experienced the hottest April on record.

That’s now 11 months in a row that have set a temperature record. Each month since June 2023 has ranked as the planet’s hottest on record, compared with the corresponding month in previous years.

Some of the extremes have led scientists to investigate whether human activity has now triggered a tipping point in the climate system. Scientists have already confirmed that climate change caused some specific weather extremes in April, including a heatwave in the Sahel (near the Sahara Desert in Africa)

The WNBA is reportedly coming to Canada.

The reported deal would have Toronto’s WNBA team start playing in May 2026. A team in Toronto would be the first outside of the US and the 14th team.

The league begins its 28th season this week. Chatham’s Bridget Carleton plays for the Minnesota Lynx.

The WNBA has not confirmed the report.

Chevrolet announced they’re killing off the Chevy Malibu this fall. It debuted in 1964 as a luxury version of the Chevelle, called the Chevelle Malibu.

It was the last traditional four-door sedan Chevy made, as they’ve shifted heavily toward trucks and SUVs. The Corvette still exists, and they’ve got their Chevy Bolt electric vehicles, so they still make cars, just not a lot of them.

Ford has also abandoned traditional sedans. They discontinued their Ford Taurus in 2018, so now the Mustang is the only traditional car they sell. Chevy ditched its main competitor the Camaro last year.
