The first weekend of the Summer is going to be a busy one in Chatham-Kent…

The best party of the Summer in Dover is tonight.

The Pain Court Truck and Tractor Pull begins at 6:30 under the water tower. Admission $20 cash, kids under 12 are free. Food and beer tent on site.

Also tonight, the 49th Thamesville Threshing Festival begins!

The weekend begins with the annual parade at 6:30, midway and entertainment this evening. TV’s are being brought into the beer tent to watch the Stanley Cup game.

A full day of fun planned for Saturday, with fireworks planned for 10:15. For all the info check out the Threshing Festival Facebook page.


The 12th annual Blenheim Classics Autoshow is this weekend.

The auto show will line the downtown streets tomorrow from 9-3. First come, first served.

Three game weekend for the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers.

The Barnstormers host the Kitchener Panthers tonight at 7:35 p.m. and the Brantford Red Sox Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Fergie Jenkins Field. They’re on the road to London Sunday for a 4:05 p.m. game.

The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel will be closed for a training exercise on Sunday morning.

The border crossing will be closed from 7 until 10 a.m. Normal tunnel operations will resume at 10 a.m.

On June 21, Canadians take the time to recognize and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis across the country.
