Everyone is welcome to attend to learn more about the Special Olympics.

The SOO-Chatham-Kent offers season-long sports programs and is open to anyone interested in volunteering or participating. The open house will also have basketball and indoor bocce available to try and watch and the hope is that someone will be inspired to coach or start up a new or existing sport in the community.

Book your spot today to see Cry Macho starring Clint Eastwood.

They beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 to win the cup in game 7. It’s the first ever Stanley Cup for the Panthers, who lost in the final last season. Edmonton’s defeat extended Canada’s Cup drought to 31 years. The 1993 Montreal Canadiens remain the last team north of the border to win.

Connor McDavid took home the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the NHL playoffs despite the loss, just the sixth player to win the trophy while playing for the losing side.

Another busy week for the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers begins tonight.
