Live music in Blenheim and Dresden tonight…

The Talbot Trail Place Summer Concert Series takes the stage tonight in Blenheim.

Stop by the park on Thursday nights during the Summer for live entertainment between 7-8:30 p.m. The Rotary Club of Blenheim will be on hand serving up hot dogs, pop, water and ice cream treats.

Come by tonight to see After Midnight.

The weekly Dresden Rotary Club Summer Concert Series concert features Truckstop Super Friends at 7.

Tonight is Trivia Night at Sons of Kent in support of Rise House International.

Cost is $20 per person at the door. Trivia begins at 7pm with some awesome prizes to be won.


The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers are on the road to play the defending champion Welland Jackfish tonight at 7:20.

The Barnstormers have a home and home series with the Guelph Royals this weekend. On the road Saturday, and back at Fergie Field Sunday. Sunday is Bark at the Park Night.

Sprinter Andre De Grasse and Olympic weightlifting champion Maude Charron will carry Canada’s flag into the opening ceremonies of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on Friday.

De Grasse is from Markham and has six Olympic medals to make him Canada’s most decorated man in Summer Olympic Games history. Charron of Rimouski, Quebec, captured weightlifting gold in the women’s 64-kilogram division in Tokyo.

This is De Grasse’s third Olympic Games and second for Charron.

The Opening Ceremonies will feature 200 countries on the River Seine with the athletes arriving on boats, instead of the traditional march into a stadium. Canada’s team in Paris includes 338 athletes and alternates.
