July 4th is the 186th day of the year. There are 180 days remaining until the end of the year.


It’s movie day at the Capitol Theatre and there’s two movies to catch today. 

At 7 pm you can stop by to catch Ghostbusters Frozen Empire.

The Capitol Theatre also starts its Summer Family Movies today. They’ll be showing a different family movie every Thursday throughout the summer. Today they’ll be showing Elemental at 3 pm.

Both movies are $7 at the door or you can flash your movie pass for entry.

The popular Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Igniting Healthcare 50/50 is back for the summer. 

Tickets for the 50/50 can be purchased online or in person at the Health Alliance Foundation office at 9 Ursuline Avenue.

The draw takes place August 9th with a guaranteed jackpot of at least $100,000 and some early bird prizes up for grabs. 

The money raised will go towards life-changing equipment and facility upgrades at both Wallaceburg and Chatham locations.


There’s more free live music to check out in Chatham-Kent tonight. 

The weekly Dresden Rotary Club Summer Concert Series concert is tonight. Classic Vibe will take the stage at 7 pm. Sidestreets will host a BBQ beginning at 6

The Talbot Trail Place Summer Concert Series also goes tonight in Blenheim.

Stop by the park on Thursday nights during the Summer for live entertainment between 7 – 8:30 p.m. Tonight Higgi Country Music takes the stage.


CKRec kicks off their Party in the Park series tonight at Chatham Taylor Park.

Every Thursday night throughout the summer, CKRecreation will visit different parks across the municipality for crafts, activities and games from 5 pm – 7 pm followed by a free rec swim.

If you have any plans to visit Chicago, the city’s most iconic tourist spot is finally reopened. 

Cloud Gate, also known as The Bean opened back up to visitors after being fenced off for nearly a year.

The Bean was closed in August 2023 to allow for construction and renovations to the plaza it is located in.
