Budweiser Gardens in London is no more. No the arena isn’t gone, just getting a new name.

Budweiser Gardens will be renamed Canada Life Place as of October 11th.

The facility originally opened October 11, 2002 named the Labatt Centre, changed to Budweiser Gardens in 2012 and now twelve years later Canada Life Place.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that the provincial government is exploring a new transit tunnel expressway under Highway 401.

The initial plan, according to the premier, is to tunnel under Highway 401 the length of Toronto, from Mississauga to Scarborough. The new expressway would provide a new, faster route for some of the most gridlocked roadways in the province. Highway 401’s stretch through the GTA is considered the busiest stretch of highway in North America, and is as wide as 18 lanes in some places.

Ford said that the average Toronto-area commuter is stuck in traffic for 98 hours every year. There have been no cost or time estimates publicly released, although the province has promised that the new expressway would not be tolled.

Coca-Cola is pulling its new Spiced flavour off of shelves, just six months after introducing it.

The company said in a statement that Coca-Cola is “always looking at what our customers like and adjusting” its flavours. “As part of this strategy, we’re planning to phase out Coca-Cola Spiced to introduce an exciting new flavour in 2025.”

The short shelve life of Spiced is surprising, because the company promoted it as a permanent flavour. There wasn’t a specific reason for cutting the flavour, but many soda drinks were unaware of it and there was some confusion about the flavour (it wasn’t actually spicy).

Spiced isn’t the only flavour to get cut: production is ending for Cherry Vanilla (launched in 2020) and Diet Coke with Splenda.
