Residents can safely dispose of household hazardous material at no charge. A list of acceptable material can found here.

The drop off is at Veolia Environmental, at 141 Prosperity Way from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The final household hazardous waste day for this year is Tuesday, November 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Detroit Tigers got the first runs of the game in the 9th inning and beat the Cleveland Guardians 3-0.

Detroit’s Kerry Carpenter hit a pinch hit 3 run home run in the top of the 9th to tie the best of 5 American League Division Series at one game a piece.

The series ow moves to Comerica Park for Detroit’s first postseason game in a decade, with games on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening.


The NHL kicks off the 2024-25 regular season tonight, with a tripleheader. It’s the 108th season.

The defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers will raise their banner in the home opener and the Utah Hockey Club will play their first game ever against the Chicago Blackhawks. Jessica Campbell will become the first woman to be a full-time assistant coach this season and will be behind the bench with the Seattle Kraken when they drop the puck tonight.

The Leafs and Red Wings don’t play tonight. The Maple Leafs will play Montreal tomorrow and the Red Wings host Sydney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins Thursday.

The season runs to April 17, 2025 with the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin shortly after.

His personal fortune of $206 billion now only trails Elon Musk.

Zuckerberg personal fortune has grown by $78.1 billion this year. He joins an elusive $200 billion club that only counts two other members: Musk ($256 billion) and Bezos ($205 billion).
