The Toronto Blue Jays are hot.
The Jays beat the Yankees 4-1 last night and lead their division. With the win at home, they extend their home winning streak to a franchise-record 11 games. The Blue Jays have won 23 of their last 27 at home.
Toronto won 10 straight at its former home, Exhibition Stadium, from July 21 – August 3, 1985; a record that stood for 40 years.
This is leading to a big weekend series with the Tigers in Detroit beginning Thursday. The Tigers lost 3-0 in Pittsburgh, but are still the second best team in the MLB.
Most home wins in the Majors.
