5 Things You Need To Know

July 25th is the 206th day of the year. There are 159 days remaining until the end of the year.

The Dresden Night Market is tomorrow.

Come out and visit downtown Dresden and experience shopping, food, music, entertainment and a pop-up bar.

The night market runs from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.

It is 100% volunteer organized and supports small businesses, artists, entertainers, and community groups.

Also, a couple of Farmers Markets to check out this weekend in CK.

The Chatham Farmers Market runs Friday from 5 pm – 9 pm and Saturday from 9 am – 2 pm at 580 Richmond St., across from the Holiday Inn

The Ridgetown Farmers Market is Saturday, 9 am – 12 pm at 180 Main Street E.

Both markets feature multiple vendors with fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of baked goods and locally grown and made items.

CK Rec continues its SummerFest lineup this weekend.

The Play Rangers will be at the Dresden Fair from 5:30-7:30pm on Saturday at the Ken Houston Memorial Centre.

The Play Rangers truck brings the fun with interactive games, playful activities, and lots of opportunities to move, laugh, and learn together.

Beach Days also continue with something for the whole fam.

CK Rec’s Beach Days will be in Erieau on Sunday from 11 am- 3 pm with activities for both adults and youth. There are also Beach Days in Mitchell’s Bay on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am – 3 pm with a focus on fun for little ones and their grown-ups.

Throughout the summer, CK Rec will also offer free rec swims and free parent and tot swims at both indoor and outdoor pools in Chatham-Kent.

All the details and schedule for SummerFest can be found here.

Not the best looking forecast for our weekend.

It’ll be mainly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers Friday, Saturday and Sunday, according to Environment Canada.

Still hot, but not quite as bad at the past two days. Highs will be in the upper 20s for the weekend with the humidex making it feel like the upper 30s

Another quiet weekend for the CK Barnstormers at Fergie Jenkins Field.

After beating the Toronto Maple Leafs 9-5 on Wednesday, the team’s on the road yet again, taking on Barrie on Saturday afternoon.

The Barnstormers return to Fergie Jenkins Field on Tuesday to take on The London Majors at 7:35 p.m. This will be the last time London comes to Chatham in the regular season.

There are only 5 regular-season home games left for the Barnstormers in the 2025 season, including back-to-back games next weekend.
