Super Bowl Commercials – Updated
Here are some of the commercials that have already been released:
Comedian Rob Riggle is a Chiefs fan, and he’s starring in the “first-ever interactive” Super Bowl ad. It also stars Sofia Vergara and Busy Phillips.
It’s a choose-you-own-adventure style commercial, where you can vote for how you’d like it to go at WhenWeComeTogether.com. Supposedly, they’ll air the most popular choice.
Facebook is making its Super Bowl commercial debut this year, with Chris Rock and Sylvester Stallone.
Secret’s ad has football fans cheering after a kicker makes a kick, only to discover that it was a female player. It’s supposed to, “spark a dialogue about the possibility of women playing [in] the NFL.” It stars U.S. soccer players Carli Lloyd and Crystal Dunn.
A full, Cheetos Can’t Touch This ad with MC Hammer is out.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi did an ad for Alexa.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen star in an ad campaign for Genesis, the luxury division of Hyundai. Interesting Fact: There was originally a helicopter in the first two seconds of the commercial, but they edited it out after Kobe Bryant died.
The full Little Caesars ad is out. Rainn Wilson plays the owner of the Sliced Bread company, which is in danger of no longer being “the best thing.”
The Pepsi Zero Sugar ad featuring Missy Elliott and H.E.R. is out. They perform a version of the Rolling Stones song Paint It Black.
Snickers released their full “fix the world” ad. Basically they feed the Earth Snickers by dropping a giant candy bar into a hole in the ground in order to make everything better. It’s a parody of those feel-good, let’s-all-come-together ads, and it really works.
Charlie Day and Emily Hampshire sort through their own dirty laundry in a Tide commercial.
Bud Light made two ads for Bud Light Selzer with Post Malone, but they can only air one so they want us, the viewers at home, to choose. (Here’s #PostyStore and here’s #PostyBar.)

The founder of a company called WeatherTech just paid $6 million for a Super Bowl ad that asks people to donate to the University of Wisconsin’s veterinary school after they saved his dog’s life. It’ll air sometime during the second quarter, but they released it early on YouTube. The dog’s name is Scout. He starred in a Super Bowl ad for WeatherTech last year, but this one’s for the vets who saved him.

Coincidentally, the Super Bowl is happening on Groundhog Day, February 2nd.

Here’s a long, three-minute version of the Squarespace ad where Winona Ryder returns to her birthplace of Winona, Minnesota, has been unleashed.
