One week until Christmas and it looks like we won’t be seeing a white one.

Cloud and flurries today, peaking at 2C. Snow overnight, 2-4cm expected.

Sunshine midweek with a high of 4C and cloudy for the weekend according to Environment Canada.


The Chatham Goodfellows had a successful weekend of street sales, bringing in $30,7747, Almost $4600 more than last year! All funds go to support the 68th annual No Child Goes Without a Christmas campaign.

The Toy Hamper delivery is tonight and the Food Hampers are packed and delivered tomorrow.


Chris and Allanah are volunteering their time this morning at the Real Canadian Superstore with a Salvation Army Kettle.

With just a week left before Christmas, The Salvation Army in Chatham-Kent is falling behind its Red Kettle goal for 2023. The Red Kettle Campaign is the Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser to help finance the many services and programs offered to individuals and families in need throughout the year in Chatham-Kent. The Salvation Army’s goal is $500,000 for the year.

Please make a donation (some kettles are equipped to take debit and credit cards) and volunteer your time to watch a kettle over the holidays. To help out call the Chatham-Kent Salvation Army at 519-437-1784 or 519-437-1769 or check out the Facebook page for info.

The Canada Post delivery deadlines are here.

You’d better step it up if you have holiday packages or cards you would like mailed (within Canada) in time for Christmas.

Today is the deadline for regional locations. For local areas, the deadline to ship packages through regular delivery is December 19, or December 21 via priority or Xpresspost.

Today is also the deadline to send parcels across the country by regular mail is December 18, or December 20 through priority or Xpresspost.

The Super Bowl will be played in Los Angeles in 2027.

It will be the ninth time that Super Bowl is held in the greater LA area.

That will give L.A. the World Cup, the Super Bowl, and the Olympics in three consecutive years.

In 2026, Los Angeles will be one of the cities hosting the FIFA World Cup; in 2027 SoFi will host the Super Bowl, and in 2028 the city will host the Olympics, with SoFi Stadium set to be home to the opening ceremonies and other events.
