There are now two Canadians in The National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Maple Ridge, B.C’s Larry Walker recieved enough votes in his last year of eligibility. He played outfield for the Expos, Rockies, and Cardinals. Chatham’s Fergie Jenkins was the first and only, up until last night, voted into the hall in 1991.

New York Yankee great Derek Jeter was voted in in his first year of eligibility. It would of been unanimous, except one person out 397 voters, didn’t vote for him. He would have been the second ever unanimous pick.

Jeter and Walker will be inducted on July 26th at the Hall in Cooperstown, New York.

On February 14th, one lucky couple will be able to spend the night at the historic Casa di Giulietta in Verona, Italy, and sleep on the actual bed featured in the 1968 film with a new contest from Airbnb.

For one night only, you’ll be treated to a tour of the castle with service from a personal butler and a candlelit dinner.

Enter by submitting a letter detailing why deserve the night in the castle before February 2nd. Check out more at Airbnb.com/Juliet.

The National Weather Service has issued an iguana warning for Florida because of the cold temperatures that are blanketing the state.

“This isn’t something we usually forecast, but don’t be surprised if you see Iguanas falling from the trees tonight as lows drop into the 30s and 40s. Brrrr!”

Iguanas are basically stunned by the cold and fall to the ground.
