Women’s hockey will take the stage at the NHL All Star festivities this weekend.
The best American and Canadian women’s players against each other in a 20-minute 3-on-3 event. Even the referees will be women. The tournament will be part of the skills competition on Friday night at 8 on CBC.
Former Chatham-Kent Cyclone and Chatham-Kent Outlaw, Meghan Agosta, will play for Canada. Agosta has won three Olympic gold medals, an Olympic silver medal, two World Championship gold medals and six silver medals at the World Championships.
Toronto just got a Piano Staircase.
The staircase in the Toronto Metro Centre has been turned into a giant piano that will put a little music in your step.
Each stair represents a different note on a piano’s keyboard. All you have to do is simply walk up or down, and the stairs will emit real sounds like on a grand piano.
The stairs can be found in the PATH that connects Roy Thomson Hall and Metro Hall near the St. Andrew subway stop.
Planters Peanuts says their mascot Mr. Peanut died in a car accident while trying to save Wesley Snipes and a another guy.
A video posted yesterday shows Mr. Peanut driving his NUTmobile with Wesley Snipes and comedian Matt Walsh. But when Mr. Peanut swerves to avoid an armadillo, the vehicle goes off a cliff, and all three guys spill out and end up hanging onto a branch. Since it’s too heavy for all three of them, Mr. Peanut sacrifices himself.
In a Tweet, Mr. Peanut’s “estate” said, “It’s with heavy hearts that we confirm Mr. Peanut has passed away at 104 years old. He will be remembered as the legume who always brought people together for nutty adventures and a good time.”
But Mr. Peanut might not be gone for good. His “funeral” will be part of a Planters Super Bowl ad that’ll run during the third quarter.
