Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed yesterday afternoon that the U.S and Canada border will remain closed to non-essential traffic for at least another month.
Both countries have agreed to extend travel restrictions until August 21st. Border restrictions were set to expire Tuesday.
Update on our border: Non-essential travel between Canada and the US remains restricted. And as we continue to fight COVID-19, we have agreed to extend the current border measures by another 30 days – until August 21st – to keep people in both our countries safe.

Ontario’s Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Minister Lisa MacLeod announced yesterday that the Toronto Blue Jays have been given permission to play their home games at Rogers Centre this summer.
But she cautions, “If the rules are not followed, we will rescind the plan.”
The Blue Jays’ 60-game season starts July 24th in Tampa Bay, with the home opener set for July 29th against the Washington Nationals.
Footwear retailer Zappos is now allowing shoppers to buy a single shoe or purchase a pair in two different sizes.
Starting next week shoppers can score exactly what they’re looking for through the trial aimed at amputees, people with differing foot sizes and others who have been left out by the footwear industry. Customers have been requesting the option for years.
If the trial is successful, the goal is to get brands to sell one shoe at a time.
