July 28th is the 210th day of the year. There are 156 days remaining until the end of the year.


The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit announced 7 new cases in C-K yesterday, bringing the total to 45 active cases.

Ontario is reporting 119 new cases, 40 of those coming from Windsor-Essex. 64% of the new cases are under the age of 40.


Masks will become mandatory on CK Transit buses tomorrow.

Riders will now be required to wear a cloth mask or a face covering prior to entering the bus and continue to wear it until they exit the bus.

The return of the NHL season officially begins on the weekend, but there will be some exhibition games before that happens. All teams are in either Edmonton or Toronto in their bubbles.

The Leafs and the Canadiens will play tonight at 8, followed by the Oilers and Flames on Sportsnet at 10:30.


Popeyes’ famous Spicy Chicken Sandwich has come to 11 locations in southwestern Ontario, including Chatham.

The other locations are in London, Windsor, Strathroy, Sarnia, and St. Thomas.

This is not the first market to test the sandwich in Canada. The sandwich was successful in Alberta earlier this year. National rollout slated for the Fall.

The sandwich was made famous when it caused massive lines and sometimes fights in the U.S. and eventually a Saturday Night Live sketch.


Bugatti is selling a $35,000 electric car for kids. Only 500 have been produced.

The mini cars go 12 mph although a faster version can go up to 30 mph. The car is meant for an eight year-old to drive.
