Chatham-Kent’s 4th COVID related death was reported yesterday.

The C-K Public Health Unit also added 17 new positive cases, bringing the active cases up to 31.

CK Public Health has also declared an outbreak at Riverview Gardens long term care home after a staff member tested positive. Under the Ministry of Health criteria, one positive case is enough to declare an outbreak in a long-term care home.

Ontario reported 1,707 new cases Tuesday. Majority of the cases still coming from Toronto, Peel and York. Toronto reports a single-day record of cases for the second day in a row, with 727 cases.


Santa’s back on CKSY tonight!

A holiday tradition, the CKMORNINGS Santa Show is back on the air tonight at 6. Santa will be here in studio to talk to all the good girls and boys every Wednesday evening for the next 3 weeks!


The Provincial Junior Hockey League is pushing back its start date for a third time.

The regular season is now scheduled to begin February 1st. The PJHL originally announced a targeted start date of December 1st in August. Two weeks ago, the start was delayed to January 1st.

The Blenheim Blades, Dresden Kings, Wallaceburg Thunderhawks and the Wheatley Sharks play in the PJHL.


You may see this trending around social media today, the McRib is back on the menu at McDonald’s for a limited time. In the U.S.

McDonald’s Canada will not be selling the McRib. “We are not bringing back the McRib in Canada at this time. Though we are always inspired by other McDonald’s markets around the world and are always looking for new flavours and menu items for our Canadian guests to enjoy.”

The McRib has been appearing periodically on McDonald’s menus since 1982, usually during the holiday season.

The decision is based on the wholesale pork prices.


Super Nintendo World will open on February 4, 2021 at Universal Studios Japan.

The several years in the making park’s areas feature Bowser’s Castle, where you’ll find Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge, the world’s first interactive Mario Kart theme park ride.

Guests can jump and punch blocks and collect virtual coins, just like Mario. Guests will be able to buy Power-Up bands and sync them to their smartphones to track their score, battling other guests for the high score

The Mario Kart ride uses AR headsets and you can drive around and “throw shells” at other racers, just like the game; But is on rails – so no falling off Rainbow Road.
