Chatham-Kent—Leamington is staying blue. Conservative Party of Canada Incumbent Dave Epp was re-elected as the MP for the Chatham-Kent—Leamington riding in last night’s federal election.
Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party are projected to win the federal election with enough seats to form a minority government.
Elections Canada will not begin counting the mail-in ballots until today, which could delay the official results of the election. More than 1.2 million voters used a mail in ballot.

Forty five new positive COVID-19 cases reported Monday by Chatham-Kent Public Health.
There were 32 resolved cases, the total active case count locally is at 126.
There are 610 new cases of COVID-19 across the province. 458 (75%) cases are in individuals not fully vaccinated.
There is a mobile vaccination clinic at Blenheim District High School this afternoon.
Anyone 12 and older is welcome at the clinic. Open to students 2:30-3 and to the public 3-7.

IKEA Canada has opened its first design studio in Oshawa.
The design studio will allow customers to order “complex home furnishing systems for the kitchen, bath, bedroom and living room by scheduling one-on-one planning sessions with an IKEA design expert.
The smaller than average store won’t carry the same amount of merchandise or any food, customers will be able to browse the online catalogue and view some sample products on display. Any orders made can be delivered or picked up at another IKEA pick-up location.
The store won’t be around for long, only open for 12 to 18 months and is the first location of several coming to the Toronto area.
A French daredevil walked a 600-meter slackline from the Eiffel Tower to the other side of the Seine.
Nathan Paulin’s trip took the 27-year-old just half an hour. This is not the first time he has attempted this feat; he previously walked a similar route in 2017, for a televised charity fundraiser. When he first did it, it set the world record for the longest urban highline walk with a safety harness by a man — a record that remains unbroken today.
On Saturday he took time to sit and laydown on the slackline. The slackline was suspended 70 meters above ground.
