Environment Canada has issued a Snow Squall Watch for Chatham-Kent.
We could see 10 to 15cm of snow today, reduced visibility and local blowing snow.
The municipality will be hosting a second 2022 Budget live Q&A Community Open House session on Facebook today at 7pm.
Council deliberations on the budget will begin next week (January 26th, 6pm) and will be streamed on Facebook and YouTube.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is expected to make an announcement regarding loosening current restrictions today at Queen’s Park.
Sources are saying Ontario will allow restaurants to reopen at 50% capacity on January 31st. A gradual loosening of restrictions would happen through February and cabinet is considering a full reopening in March.
Ford has said that “restaurants, gyms and other folks” should expect a positive announcement this week.
Chatham-Kent Public Health reported two more deaths from COVID19 on Wednesday, the 37th and 38th in C-K.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance reported that there are now 32 patients hospitalized for COVID.
Ontario is reporting 4,132 people in hospital Wednesday with COVID-19 – a slight decrease from the previous day. There were 60 deaths from COVID reported in the province, the most the province has seen in nearly one year.
