Canada and Denmark have reached a settlement over a disputed Arctic island.

This ends a decades-old border dispute over Hans Island, a 1.3-square-kilometre rock in the Arctic sea passage between Greenland and Ellesmere Island.

Under the agreement, a border will be drawn across the island, dividing it between the Canadian territory of Nunavut and the Danish territory of Greenland.

The dispute over tiny Hans Island dates back to the early 1970s when the countries were negotiating their maritime boundary; they left the status of the islet for future negotiations.

For the first time, Canada, will share a land border with Denmark.

Canadians and Danes plan to celebrate the settlement an example of how countries can resolve border disputes peacefully.

Tik Tok is launching a new feature that limits screen time.

The company says they want people to take breaks while enjoying their platform.

“The new features are in line with Tik Tok’s goal to promote a safe and positive experience for all its users and ensure that the entertainment platform is equipped to offer the best possible viewing choices for the TikTok community.”

Tik Tok has added a new dashboard that will track how long people are spending in the app. The dashboard will show statistics like how much time you spend in the app, when you use the app most and how often it’s opened. Users will now be able to set screen time limits for how long they can use the app in any one sitting.

There are now additional screen time restrictions for teens between the ages of 13 and 17. Teens will now see weekly “digital well-being prompts” and get additional screen time reminders when they have spent more than 100 minutes in the app on a single day.
