Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a system that could bring between 10 to 15 centimetres of snow to the region on Friday. A Special Weather Statement has been issued for Chatham-Kent.

Precipitation will begin Friday morning and taper off at night. Tomorrow morning’s drive to work and school could be problematic.

Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton and London-Middlesex are all expected to get a considerable amount of snow.

For the first time in more than a year, the Bank of Canada decided not to raise their trend setting interest rate on Wednesday, it’ll stay at 4.5%.

The bank had hiked the rate eight consecutive times before Wednesday’s announcement – citing inflation as the reason behind the repeated increases.

The next Bank of Canada policy announcement is expected on April 12.


The Chatham Rotary Sunrise 22nd Annual Roses For Rotary campaign is underway.

Sunrise Roses are $25 dozen and come in a bouquet of red, yellow and orange.

For the first time in the WNBA’s 26-year-history the league will be playing a game in Canada.

On May 13th, the Chicago Sky will take on the Minnesota Lynx at the Scotiabank Arena. The WNBA was just days from announcing a pre-season game in Canada in March of 2020. Then the COVID-19 pandemic struck.

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton will be playing for the Minnesota Lynx.

Pre sale tickets went on sale on Monday, and just eight minutes after sales launched, the lower bowl seats were already nearly sold out.
