May 15th is the 135th day of the year. There are 230 days remaining until the end of the year.


We’re expecting sunshine leading up to a long weekend according to Environment Canada.

Sunny and a high of 22 today. Tomorrow’s high of 24 will be the highest of the week. Temps dip to 14 mid week, but climb again for Victoria Day Weekend.


The date has been set for the annual Detroit River fireworks, set aside Monday, June 26th for the annual display.

This is the 65th year and again will be sponsored by the Ford Motor Company.

The WNBA made history Saturday afternoon with the ever game in Canada.

The Chicago Sky beat the Minnesota Lynx 82-74 at the Scotiabank Arena. The game was a full sell out, 19,800 witnessed the game. All WNBA logo’d merchandise was sold out by halftime.

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton started for the Minnesota Lynx and was the only Canadian in the game. She addressed the crowd before the game.

The WNBA season begins Friday.


The Toronto Maple Leafs Stanley Cup dream is over.

The Florida Panthers win the series in 5 games, after a 3-2 win in overtime on Friday. Florida moves on to play the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Leafs have not won a Stanley Cup since 1967, 55 years ago.

The Edmonton Oilers were the last Canadian team eliminated from the NHL Playoffs last night, it has now been 30 years since the last Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup.


The bar includes the counter in three sections with brass railings, the burgundy barstools, and the back bar unit.

It’s also autographed by several of the stars. Both John Ratzenberger and the late Kirstie Alley actually carved their names into it. The current bid on the bar is $100,000.
