Anyone that needs help with toys, clothes or food over the holidays is invited to stop by.
“We really want ‘The Gift’ to help the people that won’t call in to the hamper program, so that we can take care of them at Christmas time,” says Tim Haskell, Chatham Goodfellows President. “Please call in. No one needs to be embarrassed to call us for help.”
The Share Shop is located at the old AgMedica building on Richmond St in Chatham, across from McDonald’s.

The Tilbury Lions Christmas Light Festival continues in Tilbury Memorial Park. Lights are on every night 5:30-11pm until January.
In Wallaceburg, The 25 Days of Christmas Lights Tour is underway until the 25th. Residents have decorated and lit their homes – follow the map and enjoy. Check out the Facebook group here.
Three new COVID19 cases reported locally Thursday by the C-K Public Health Unit.
There are 36 active cases. The number of deaths in C-K has been readjusted back to 3 after it was revealed the death earlier this week was not from COVID.
Ontario reported 1,824 new cases Thursday. Majority of the cases still coming from Toronto, Peel and York.
A team in China built a new jet engine that could hit Mach 16, or 16 times the speed of sound. That’s fast enough to get anywhere in the world in under two hours.
The ‘sodramjet’ engine could offer the biggest hope so far of commercial flight reaching hypersonic speed.
The engine could also serve “reusable trans-atmospheric planes [that] take off horizontally from an airport runway, accelerate into orbit around the Earth, then re-enter into the atmosphere, and finally land at an airport.”
The Daytona 500 plans to have fans present for the race in February.
There will be a limited number of fans. Screening will be done before entering the venue and fans will be required to wear face coverings and observe at least 6 feet of social distancing.
The race is scheduled to take place February 14th.
