July 28th is the 209th day of 2021. There are 156 days remaining until the end of the year.


One new positive COVID-19 case was reported Tuesday by Chatham-Kent Public Health.

There were no recoveries, the total active case count is at 14.

There were 129 positive cases across Ontario Tuesday. That’s now 19 straight days with less than 200 new daily cases.


After being closed Tuesday, the Bradley Centre Vaccincation Clinic will reopen today.

Walk-in appointments for first and second Pfizer doses are open from noon-6pm and Friday from 9-3pm.

If you’re looking for a Moderna shot this week, some appointments have been added for Thursday from 3:30-5pm at the Bradley Centre as well.

Another medal for Canada in Tokyo!

Penny Oleksiak took the Bronze in the Womens’ 200 Metre Final, making her the most decorated Summer Olympian for Team Canada in terms of career medals with 6. She also ties Cindy Klassen and Clara Hughes for the most by a Canadian across both Olympics.

Canada now has 9 medals. Two Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze, good for 10th overall.

Breanne Nicholas of Blenheim will get her first taste of the Olympics today when the Women’s Rugby team takes on Brazil at 8:30pm. Bridget Carleton and the Women’s Basketball team tips off at 9pm vs Korea.

Campbell’s Soup has just changed the label on its tomato soup cans for the first time in 50 years. It’s not a huge overhaul though, so don’t panic.

They just messed with the font, moved the word “Condensed” from the middle to the top and added a photo of an actual tomato at the bottom.

It’s the first time they’ve changed the design since 1951, but they have changed it before. Their original can in 1885 was white. Then they had a blue-and-orange can in 1897. And their first half-red, half-white can was in 1898.
