The Kingston Park Splash Pad is open for the season.

The splash pad and main washrooms are officially open for the season until Labour Day. The splash pad is opening a week earlier than expected.

While some are open, not all splash pads in the municipality have opened yet. Click here for the opening dates this season.


The Chatham-Kent Public Library hosts Movies @ Your Library every Tuesday at the Chatham branch.

The NHL and NBA Finals are now set.

The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Dallas Stars in 6 games to win the Western Conference Finals. It’ll be the Golden Knights and the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final, beginning Saturday night. Neither team has won the Stanley Cup.

The Boston Celtics lost the first 3 games, but battled to force a Game 7 at home in the Eastern Conference Finals, but last night the Miami Heat woke up with a commanding victory. They’ll take on the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday.


The 2023 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix is this weekend.

The 3-day race weekend takes place June 2-4, with four different series racing on the Downtown Detroit street track.

The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel will remain open during the race weekend, June 2-4, but will have some changes. In order to access the Tunnel between May 31 and June 4, motorists should display a dashboard placard provided by the Tunnel’s operators. Placards are available at the Windsor and Detroit toll plazas or can be downloaded and printed from the Tunnel’s website, www.takethetunnel.com.

The Special Events Tunnel Bus will only operate a short route between the Transit Terminal in Downtown Windsor and the Detroit Tunnel Plaza.
